Vocabulary
Vocabulary is the list of words Incredible should get right when you speak. Names, jargon, shortcuts. Add a word once and it comes out right everywhere, whether you're asking for a task or dictating. To build your vocabulary, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, choose Settings, then Vocabulary. You can also click Vocabulary on the Dictation page.
What you can put in Vocabulary
- A word Incredible should get right. A name, term or acronym, spelled the way you spell it, even when it sounds like something else. Linnéa. Incredible. OKRs.
- Something you say that Incredible writes differently. Say "btw" and Incredible writes "By the way". Say "my LinkedIn" and it writes the full link to your profile. In the list, these show as what you say, an arrow, then what gets written.
Some entries are there from the start. When you first sign in, your name, your email address and, for a work address, your company's domain are added so they're spelled right from day one. The people in your Contacts are listened for automatically too. They show under Included from your Contacts, and you edit them in Contacts.
Add a word
To add a word to your vocabulary, click Add word. There are two kinds of entry, and you pick one at the top of the dialog.
A word. Type the name, term or acronym and click Add.
Say → write. Type what you'll say under When I say…, like "KPI", and what Incredible should write under …write this, like "key performance indicator". Then click Add.
Coming from Wispr Flow? Import from Wispr Flow shows you what it will copy. Click Import to bring your personal dictionary across. Entries you already have are skipped, and Wispr Flow snippets and team dictionaries aren't imported.
Edit a word
Hover the entry and click the pencil. Change the word, or what you say and what gets written, then click Save.
Delete a word
Hover the entry and click the bin. Deleting is immediate. Entries you delete, including the ones added at sign-in, are not added back.
How vocabulary is used
Every entry is applied wherever you speak to Incredible, whether you're asking for a task or dictating. When what you say sounds like a word on the list, Incredible writes it your way. When you say something with a replacement, like "KPI", it writes the replacement instead, as if you'd said it in full.
