Shortcuts
Incredible is built around a few keys, one set for each way you use it. This page lists them all, with their defaults on Mac and Windows, and shows you how to change any of them. Open your profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar, click Settings, and click Change next to Shortcuts.
Voice Mode
Hold the talk key and speak. Let go, and Incredible gets to work.
| Push to talk | fnCtrl + Space |
Text Mode
Open the bar and type your ask instead of saying it.
| Type it instead | ⌥ + SpaceCtrl + Shift + Space |
Dictation Mode
Type by voice into any app. The Dictation guide covers what happens to the words once they land.
| Dictate into any app | Ctrl + ShiftAlt + Space |
Context Mode
Hand Incredible what you're looking at before you ask.
| Grab text or a file | ⌥ + CAlt + C |
| Snap your screen | ⌥ + XAlt + X |
| Clear what's attached | ⌥ + ⇧ + ⌫Alt + Shift + Backspace |
Hands Free Mode
Keep talking without holding a key down, for Incredible and for dictation.
| Hands-free talk | fn + SpaceCtrl + Alt + Space |
| Hands-free dictation | Ctrl + Shift + SpaceAlt + Space + M |
Change a shortcut
Click a shortcut's keys, then press the new combination. Press Esc to cancel. A shortcut you've changed shows a reset arrow next to it, which puts the default back.
A dictation shortcut can be two or more modifier keys held together, like Ctrl and Shift, or a modifier plus a regular key.
Two things can't be changed. The hands-free talk keys are fixed on both Mac and Windows. And on Windows, the push to talk key stays at Ctrl + Space for now, so its keys don't take a new combination yet.
