What this workflow does

Paste a YouTube video URL to collect its public comments and replies, including text, authors, timestamps and like counts. The workflow checks the rows in Google Sheets and gives you a CSV you can sort, filter or run through a classifier.

The problem

Marketers, product managers and engineers can spend hours scrolling through YouTube comments and opening reply threads by hand. Long discussions make it easy to miss comments, replies and useful context.

The solution

The workflow extracts the public comment data from YouTube and expands reply threads for research and due diligence. It saves each comment and reply as a structured CSV row, ready to sort, filter or analyze.

How it works, step by step

  1. 1

    Open the video and check comments are on. Opens each YouTube video URL you supplied and confirms the video is public and its comments are enabled.

  2. 2

    Set the sort order and load every comment. Chooses top comments or newest first, then keeps scrolling until YouTube stops adding more.

  3. 3

    Expand every reply thread. Opens each collapsed reply thread and keeps clicking through until no replies are left hidden.

  4. 4

    Read each comment. Reads the comment text, the author, the timestamp, the like count and the flags for pinned, hearted and creator replies.

  5. 5

    Save and check the CSV. Writes one row per comment into a CSV in Downloads and checks the count against the number YouTube displayed.

How can I export YouTube comments and replies to a CSV?

Paste one or more YouTube video URLs into this workflow, choose the comment order and whether to include replies, and run it with Incredible. It loads the public comments, creates one CSV row per comment or reply, and checks the finished file in Google Sheets.

Does this extract every comment from a YouTube video?

The workflow collects the public comments and replies that YouTube makes visible, until no more load or your requested limit is reached. The total can be lower than YouTube’s displayed count because some comments may not be publicly visible or loading may stop early. The run reports the displayed count, collected count, and likely reason for any difference.

What YouTube comment data is included in the CSV?

The CSV includes the original comment text, author display name, channel handle and link, timestamp, like count, video ID, and reply relationship. It also records available details such as reply counts and whether a comment is pinned, hearted by the creator, or written by the video’s channel.

Can I extract comments from multiple YouTube video URLs?

Yes. The workflow accepts multiple full watch URLs, share links, and video IDs in one list and processes them in order. Every row includes the video ID so comments from different videos remain separable.

Can I extract YouTube comments without code or the YouTube API?

Yes. Incredible uses the YouTube pages in the browser you already use, following the taught workflow like a person would. There is no code to write and no API to connect.

Can this extract comments from videos with comments disabled or from live chat replay?

No comments can be collected when a creator has disabled them, so the run records that outcome and continues. Live chat replay is a separate YouTube system and is not included in this workflow. The workflow handles public video comments only.

Can I adjust how the YouTube comments are collected?

Yes. You can choose Top comments or Newest first, set a requested comment limit, and decide whether reply threads are included. Once taught, Incredible repeats the selected process in the same order on each run.

Is my YouTube comment data used to train Incredible?

Customer data is not used to train Incredible. The exported CSV can contain public comment text, display names, and channel links, so you are responsible for how you store and use it.
