Extract data from a TikTok video

Turn TikTok video links into checked CSV data for Google Sheets

Get started with MacWorks on Mac and Windows

Still copying TikTok video data by hand?

What this workflow does

Give the workflow one TikTok video link or a list of links. It returns captions, hashtags, dates, durations, engagement counts, creator details and sound details as linked CSV files checked in Google Sheets.

The problem

Marketing teams often copy TikTok video metrics into spreadsheets by hand or rely on screenshots. That makes it harder to compare videos and keep the data organized for research.

The solution

The workflow handles extraction and research by opening each public TikTok video, reading its published data, then checking the creator profile and sound page. It saves structured CSV files for videos, creators, sounds and, when collected, comments.

How it works, step by step

  1. 1

Open the video. Opens each TikTok video link you supplied and confirms the video is public before reading anything.

  2. 2

Read the video data. Reads the caption, the hashtags, the duration, the posting date and the play, like, comment, share and save counts.

  3. 3

Read the creator and the sound. Opens the creator profile and the sound page behind the video so the row carries who posted it and what it was set to.

  4. 4

Read the comments. When comments are switched on, opens the comment list and reads the text, author, timestamp and like count.

  5. 5

Save and check the CSV. Writes videos, creators, sounds and comments into linked CSVs in Downloads and opens them to confirm the columns and row counts.

Frequently asked questions

How do I extract data from a TikTok video into Google Sheets?

Give the Extract data from a TikTok video workflow one or more public video links. Incredible reads each TikTok page, writes the results into linked CSV files in Downloads, and opens those files in Google Sheets for validation.

What TikTok video data does this workflow export?

The workflow exports the caption, hashtags, mentions, posting date, duration, and displayed play, like, comment, share, and save counts. It also collects creator profile details, sound details, media links, and the date and region of collection. Comments can be included when comment collection is switched on.

Can I extract data from multiple TikTok videos at once?

Yes. You can provide a list of TikTok video links, and the workflow processes them one at a time in the supplied order. The resulting CSV files link each video to its creator and sound records.

How does the TikTok CSV export work with Google Sheets?

The workflow creates separate UTF-8 CSV files for videos, creators, sounds, and any collected comments. It saves them in Downloads and opens them in Google Sheets to check the headers, linked records, and duplicate video IDs.

Do I need code or access to the TikTok API?

No. Incredible uses the TikTok website in the browser you already use and works with files on your computer. There is no code to write and no API to connect.

Is my TikTok data used to train Incredible?

No. Customer data is not used to train Incredible.
