AI for Monitor ERP
Monitor ERP is a Swedish system built in Hudiksvall since 1974 exclusively for manufacturing, and it is the market leader among Swedish manufacturers, with its fifth generation, G5, following the long-running G4. It runs order processing, bills of material, routings, production planning, and shop-floor reporting for thousands of metal and machining shops. Incredible drives Monitor by voice, handling the manufacturing orders, time reports, receipts, and lookups an operator or planner would otherwise key in.

In short
- Create and register manufacturing and purchase orders in Monitor by voice.
- Report shop-floor time and material by talking, instead of keying it into the client.
- Works with G5 and older G4 installs, because it drives the screen a person uses.
- Pauses for approval before it posts or changes anything, and keeps a record.
- Reaches 3,000+ other apps too, on Mac and Windows.
What you can say
“Create a manufacturing order in Monitor for part 4501-A, quantity 200, due end of month.”
Fills the order and pauses for you to confirm before registering it.
“What’s the stock balance and reserved quantity for part 4501-A?”
Reads the on-hand and reserved figures from Monitor.
“Report 6 hours against operation 20 on work order 88213.”
Enters the time report and waits for your go-ahead.
“Which manufacturing orders are behind their planned finish date?”
Lists the late orders with part and date.
“Raise a purchase order to our subcontractor for 200 units of the machining operation.”
Drafts the order and leaves it unsent for your review.
“Show me the on-time delivery figures for last quarter.”
Runs the report and reads back the numbers.
“Register a goods receipt for purchase order 71044.”
Matches the lines and stops before posting.
“What is the planned cost versus actual on manufacturing order 88213?”
Pulls both figures from Monitor and compares them.
How it works
- Hold the key and say what you need done in Monitor.
- Incredible works through the Monitor screens the same way an operator would.
- It shows you any posting, order, or change and waits for your approval first.
- Each action is recorded, so you can trace exactly what went into Monitor.
Incredible vs Monitor ERP’s own AI
| Incredible | Monitor ERP on its own | |
|---|---|---|
| Time and material reporting | Spoken, then confirmed | Keyed into the client line by line |
| Manufacturing orders | Created by voice | Opened and filled by hand |
| G4 and older installs | Driven through the screen | No modern automation path |
| Stock and cost lookups | Asked and answered aloud | Navigate to each view yourself |
| Approvals | Pauses before posting, keeps a record | Relies on the operator |
| Other apps | One voice reaches 3,000+ apps | Separate tools and logins |
Does this work if we are on an older Monitor version without an API?
Yes. Incredible operates Monitor through the same client your shop floor and office use, reading the screen and entering data by keyboard and mouse. Many Monitor sites still run G4, the generation before G5, and those older installs were not built around a modern API.
Incredible does not need one, because it drives the interface directly, the way a person does. On G5, where Monitor exposes more modern access, that route is more robust and Incredible can take it. Either way, the day-to-day typing gets handled.
How do we teach it a repeating Monitor task like daily reporting?
You do the task once with Incredible watching, and record it. Walk through registering a time report or a goods receipt, talking through each step as you go. Incredible learns the sequence, not the screen coordinates, so it repeats the same task on its own afterward.
This suits manufacturing work, where the same handful of Monitor entries, order registration, material issue, receipt, and time reporting, happen many times a day. When Monitor changes a screen in an update, the recorded steps still describe what to do, so the task keeps working.
What keeps it from registering something wrong on the shop floor?
Incredible asks before anything that commits. Looking up a balance or running a report is safe and runs straight through. Registering an order, posting a receipt, or sending a purchase order changes your records, so Incredible stops at that point, shows you the exact entry, and waits for you to approve.
Everything it does is logged, so a supervisor can see what was reported, against which order, and when. If something looks off, you stop it before it lands.
Questions, answered
Is this an official Monitor ERP feature?
No. Incredible is a separate assistant. It is not built, certified, or endorsed by Monitor ERP. It operates the system the way your team does, through the normal client.
Does it replace Monitor?
No. Monitor stays your system of record for production and inventory. Incredible handles the repetitive entry, reporting, and lookups people do inside it.
We are still on G4. Does that matter?
No. Incredible drives the Monitor client on screen, so it works on G4 and G5 alike, without depending on a modern API.
Will it survive a Monitor update?
Recorded tasks follow the steps rather than fixed screen positions, so most updates do not break them. You can re-record a step if a process changes.
Can it report time for the whole shift at once?
It can enter a batch of time or material reports, pausing for your confirmation before the batch is posted.
Does it stay within our permissions?
Yes. It works inside the same Monitor login as the person using it and cannot reach anything that account cannot.
