Incredible

AI for IFS Applications

IFS Applications is the Swedish enterprise system from IFS, used in manufacturing and asset-heavy industries for orders, production, maintenance, and projects. Versions 9 and 10 are still widely run on the Windows Enterprise Explorer client, known for deep, multi-tab screens where a single task can span several forms. Incredible drives IFS by voice, handling the order entry, work reporting, requisitions, and lookups a planner or clerk would otherwise click through tab by tab.

How it works

  1. Hold the key and say what you need done in IFS.
  2. Incredible works through the IFS screens the way your team would, tab by tab.
  3. It shows you each posting, order, or requisition and waits for approval.
  4. Every action is recorded, so you can trace what went into IFS.

Does this work on IFS Applications 9 or 10 and Enterprise Explorer?

Yes. Incredible operates IFS through Enterprise Explorer, the Windows client used across Applications 9 and 10, reading the screen and entering data the way a person does. These versions are known for deep, multi-tab screens where a single task can span several forms, and much of the daily work is manual clicking.

IFS does offer integration routes, and where your site has them set up they are more robust, so Incredible can use them. Where a task lives only in the thick client, Incredible drives that client directly, so the work still gets automated without waiting for a move to IFS Cloud.

How does it learn one of our IFS routines?

You record it once. Walk through a work-order report, a customer order, or a receipt with Incredible watching, and talk through each tab and field. Incredible learns the sequence of steps, not the screen positions, so it repeats the routine afterward.

IFS tasks often span several tabs, so recording the whole path once and replaying it saves the click-through every time. When a screen changes between releases, or in a move toward the Aurena web client, the recorded steps still describe the task, so it keeps working.

What keeps it from releasing or posting the wrong thing?

Incredible asks before anything that commits. Reading a stock figure or a project cost is safe and runs straight through. Releasing an order, posting a receipt, or closing a work order changes your records, so Incredible pauses, shows you the exact action, and waits for you to approve.

Everything is logged, so a planner or controller can see what was posted, against which order or project, and when. If the target is wrong, you stop it before it commits.

Questions, answered

Is Incredible an official IFS integration?

No. Incredible is a separate assistant and is not built, certified, or endorsed by IFS. It operates IFS Applications the way your staff do.

Does it replace IFS?

No. IFS stays your system of record. Incredible handles the repetitive entry, reporting, and lookups people do inside it.

We are on Applications 9 with Enterprise Explorer. Will it work?

Yes. Incredible drives the Enterprise Explorer client on screen, so it does not depend on the version having a modern API.

What about a move to Aurena or IFS Cloud later?

The same voice control works on the web client too. You would re-record any task whose screens changed in the move.

Will an upgrade break it?

Recorded tasks follow steps rather than fixed screen positions, so most upgrades do not break them. You can re-record a step if a form changes.

Does it respect our permissions?

Yes. It works inside the same IFS login as the person using it and cannot reach anything that account cannot.
