Incredible

AI for Dynamics GP, by voice

Microsoft Dynamics GP, still called Great Plains by the people who use it, is the on-premise accounting and ERP system that many US small and mid-sized businesses run for their books, payables, and inventory. Incredible works inside the GP desktop client and does the repeat data entry, lookups, and report runs for you, by voice.

How it works

  1. Hold the key and say what you need, in plain accounting terms.
  2. Incredible works in the GP desktop client on screen, opening the right window and filling the fields.
  3. It pauses before anything that posts or saves, and shows you the window first.
  4. You confirm, it finishes, and the step is written to an audit trail.

Does Incredible work with Dynamics GP even without an API?

Yes, because Incredible drives the GP desktop client on screen the way a person does, so it does not depend on eConnect, web services, or any add-in being in place.

GP is a mature Windows desktop application, and many sites run it with little or no integration layer. Incredible reads the GP windows and uses the keyboard and mouse, so it works with the install you have. Where tools like eConnect exist, or Business Central APIs once you move, those are the more robust route for large unattended jobs, and Incredible can use them too. For the everyday entering and posting a person does in GP, driving the screen is the dependable answer.

How does Incredible keep Dynamics GP changes safe?

Incredible asks for your approval before anything that posts, saves, or voids in GP, and it never commits a change on its own.

You see the completed window before it posts. Lookups and reports run straight through; anything that changes GP waits for your confirmation. Every action is written to an audit trail, on top of the posting journals GP already keeps, so you can see what was entered and when. Because it works through your own signed-in GP session, your existing user security still decides what is allowed.

How does Incredible handle repetitive GP data entry?

You record yourself doing a task in GP once, talking through it, and Incredible learns the steps so it can repeat that task later on request.

It captures the sequence of steps rather than fixed screen positions, so a different company database, an extra distribution line, or a new window does not break the run. That is what separates it from an old screen macro that fails the moment a layout shifts. Month-end routines that mean the same windows over and over become one spoken request.

  • Enter a batch of payables invoices from a stack
  • Post recurring journal entries at month-end
  • Refresh an aged trial balance into Excel

Questions, answered

Is Incredible an official Microsoft product?

No. There is no partnership, integration, or endorsement from Microsoft. Incredible is an independent assistant that works your existing Dynamics GP screens.

Does Incredible replace Dynamics GP?

No. Dynamics GP stays your system of record. Incredible automates the repetitive entry, posting, and reporting people do inside it.

Which versions of Dynamics GP does this work with?

It works with the GP desktop client on your screen, including GP 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018, and the current Dynamics GP. Because it drives the interface, it is not tied to one build.

Do we need eConnect or any add-in?

No. There is nothing to deploy inside GP. Incredible runs as a desktop app next to the GP client and works through your normal signed-in session.

GP is nearing end of life. Does this help?

Yes. Microsoft has set an end-of-life path for GP, with product and tax updates ending in 2029 and security updates through 2031. Incredible keeps day-to-day work moving and eases the move to Business Central when you are ready.

Does it follow our GP security?

Yes. It acts inside your own signed-in session, so it can only do what your user roles already allow.

Can it help at month-end?

Yes. Recurring routines like posting batches or running the same reports can be recorded once, then triggered by voice each period.

Can it move data between GP and other tools?

Yes. Because it works across 3,000+ apps, it can take a figure or a report out of GP and into Excel or email, and bring information back the other way.

Put it to work in your apps.
