Every investor asked when we would do a mobile version. Here is why the answer is "not yet".
The most common question we got in our first six months was when we were going to ship a mobile app. The honest answer is that we are not, at least not for a while. Here is why.
A voice agent on the desktop has access to everything you are working on: your files, your editor, your browser, your meeting transcripts. A voice agent on the phone has access to almost none of that. The two products share a name but very little else.
We could have shipped a thinner mobile version. We would have spent the next twelve months supporting it, and we would have had less to show for the desktop product as a result.
Mobile makes sense when the agent is something you carry with you, not something you sit down with. That is a real product, and we will build it eventually, but it deserves to be built on its own terms, not as a thinner version of the desktop one.
